Teesdale AC
SUNDAY, June 21, should have been the date of the Lakesman marathon and half marathon at Keswick.
As it was cancelled due to Covid-19, it was turned into a virtual event with participants able to take part in different events in locations of their own choosing.
Three ladies from Teesdale AC entered the half marathon distance (13.1 miles) and had a clean sweep in the 55/59 ladies category with Claire Hesketh coming first in 2.04.53hrs, Barbara Crawley second in 2.15.47 and Amanda Pettitt in third place in 2.34.43.
Andrew Crawley also ran the half marathon distance in 2.15.53 and their son Josh, also a Teesdale AC member took part in the cycling and running event.
Josh cycled 56 miles and then ran 13.1 miles in a time of 4.54.29.
The swimming element had to be cancelled because of the restrictions.
All the athletes observed social distancing guidelines at all times.
