WI looks forward to village fete

DOUBLE CELEBRATION: Members of Toft Hill WI celebrated the Queen's jubilee as well as their own centenery with a meal at Headlam Hall

TOFT HILL WI

WE had two reasons to celebrate our WI this month – our centenary and, of course, the platinum jubilee – so we did both at our meal at Headlam Hall on June 15.

Our next meeting is on July 4, a talk on Kiplin Hall, but we are also having a stall at the village fete on Saturday, July 2, which should be an enjoyable day.

There are lots of things to watch and hear as well as the fancy dress competition which is always popular.

Things kick off from 12.30pm so let’s hope it stays dry and we get the chance for people to meet up once again and have fun.
