Greta Bridge’s Morritt Hotel on market for £1.7m

Greta Bridge’s Morritt Hotel and Garage Spa is on the market for £1.7 million.

The 26-bedroom hotel is being marketed by Colliers.

The commercial estate agent said: “The Morritt trades predominantly on the tourist and leisure sector, and to its popular restaurant and bar (with extensive non-resident trade), as well as corporate trade during the week.

“In addition, the property benefits from an extremely popular spa setting and provides another strong income stream.

“This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire a substantial hotel business with further growth opportunities, ideally situated in County Durham.”

The Morritt also has a bar and restaurant, function suite and lounges. The standalone space and leisure facility is also popular.

There is also a recently converted seven-bedroom holiday cottage.
